As one of the first creative partners invited onto the project, FIN Design + Effects was a key vendor on the Nautilus project through their Ballina studio, previously Cumulus VFX.

The team were responsible for the opening sequence where the Nautilus submarine is introduced to the viewer. FIN designed and built an entire tall ship in CG with dynamic sails & ropes, and destruction capabilities which were then seamlessly integrated into a live action set piece. The entire ocean environment was created with interaction simulations across various weather conditions from calm to fully stormy conditions.

FIN were also responsible for leading the creative direction on the climactic sequence where cliffs of Halvar are finally discovered. This was part of a collaborative effort with a number of studios, with the build of the cliff and pillar environment shared between the multiple vendors, overseen by FIN Visual Effects Supervisor Will Gammon. 

FIN were also responsible for other CG sequences including several epic underwater shots and multiple beautiful environment builds throughout the series.
