Over the years, Plastic Wax’s investment in R&D has pushed the boundaries of what can be captured live on the MOCAP stage using game engines. Imagine being able to preview multiple MOCAP performances applied to their CG characters fully rendered in their environment, all in real-time. The technology also provides the flexibility to adjust lighting, cameras or change locations, wardrobe, characters – instantly, whilst on set. They call this workflow Real-time Animation.

Real-time Animation is a game-changer for any animated production. The workflow is far more cost-efficient, time-efficient and versatile than conventional animation pipelines, as all the post processes of editing, animation, and rendering can all be done together in-engine, and in real-time. As pioneers in this innovation, Plastic Wax are now leading the way in delivering this powerfully efficient workflow to the global animation industry.
