Docklands’ 3,700 sq m (40,000 sq ft) super stage with water pit is one of the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere. We have five other stages ranging from 743 sq m (8,000 sq ft) to 2,323 sq m (25,000 sq feet). We have two LED volumes – one measuring 12 m tall x 88 m long (40 ft x 289 ft) in Stage 1, the other measuring 8 m tall x 21 m long (26 ft x 68 ft) in Stage 3. Both are operated by NantStudios.

We are proud to be the first major film studio in Australia powered entirely by renewable electricity.

All our six sounds stages, production offices, mess halls, workshops make-up rooms and administration buildings are powered by 100% renewable energy such as solar and wind through Victoria’s State Electricity Commission (SEC). The studio lot is secure with plenty of parking. Docklands Studios is a dry-hire facility, allowing productions to select from Victoria’s large pool of world-class service providers, including lighting, camera, drone, equipment hire, editing, VFX and post.
