Tom heads up the Marketing and Communications team at Ausfilm. His role includes developing marketing strategies and campaigns to promote all that Australia offers international filmmakers and productions, including Australia’s screen production incentives and the screen businesses that comprise Ausfilm’s members. This encompasses marketing and sales strategies, communications and advertising campaigns, sponsorships, government partnerships and membership engagement.

Tom has extensive marketing and public relations experience having worked in senior roles with global studios and local distributors, previously as Marketing & Publicity Director at The Walt Disney Company and before that in senior roles at 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures and Roadshow Films. Tom also ran his own successful communications agency, The Publicity Dept., which serviced international clients and local film productions.
Over his career he has spearheaded multi-disciplinary campaigns for a diverse range of films such as Jojo Rabbit, Bohemian Rhapsody and Deadpool 2, managed numerous tours with leading international and local talent, and worked on iconic Australian titles including Happy Feet, Bran Nue Dae and Mao’s Last Dancer.
