WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE SHOOTING IN AUSTRALIA DURING COVID-19?

Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience working in very difficult circumstances. New South Wales really stepped up and gave us the freedom to make what we needed to. I don’t think that we could have done this anywhere else in the world.

WHAT WAS IT LIKE SHOOTING WITH AUSTRALIAN CREWS?

I’ve never had a crew that rolled in every day to work as our crew did. We just all kept going and their loyalty and professionalism was unmatched. I look at Australia now as my film family. 

FAVOURITE AUSTRALIAN FILM?

I am a huge Peter Weir fan. Gallipoli is one of my favourites of all time. A true masterpiece on so many levels.

FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN AUSTRALIA?

29 Nine 99 Yum Cha & Tea House when we were on location in Rylstone – best Chinese dumplings I’ve ever had in my life. The owner opened up for us because COVID had shut her down. We cleaned her out every night. Our movie kept a lot of Moms and Pops going during some rough times.

FAVOURITE BEACH AND/OR LOCATION IN AUSTRALIA?

Mosman and Palm Beach.

FAVOURITE AUSTRALIAN SLANG WORD?

“Chockers” – something or somewhere that is full to the brim.
