HOW WAS WORKING AT FOX STUDIOS IN SYDNEY?

It’s a world-class facility and has a perfect complement of large stages, small stages, workshops and offices that can support a large tentpole feature of this scale. And as a bonus, it’s a wonderful setting, and has a chill laid-back vibe.

FAVOURITE AUSTRALIAN FILM?

It’s a little bit of a guilty pleasure. It’s called Muriel’s Wedding. I have a fondness for it, simply, if nothing else, for the name of the town in the film called “Porpoise Spit”. I don’t know if that’s a real Australian town, fictional town or otherwise? It’s an adorable film, go see it.

FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN AUSTRALIA?

My favorite restaurant in Sydney would be Mr Wong. It’s a Cantonese cuisine, in central Sydney, in the CBD. It has fantastic food, amazing atmosphere, and great service with the added allure of finding it down and off the beaten track alleyway.

FAVOURITE LOCATION IN AUSTRALIA?

I took the Sydney Bridge Walk on a crystal clear, beautiful day and standing atop the bridge, I had a nirvana moment. If they’d have left me, I would have stood up there for hours. Runner up for favourite place in Australia thus far has to be watching The Australian Open in Melbourne.

FAVOURITE AUSTRALIAN SLANG WORD?

“Mate” – I heard it uttered frequently by tennis great Patrick Rafter (former number one in the world and two time US Open champion) whenever he tossed a ball to make a serve and that toss was not a good toss. He would always utter the phrase “sorry mate” to his opponent. Other favourite Australian slang words would be “no worries”, “crikey”, and at the very top of my list, the very simple “G’day”.
