THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING, BEHIND THE SCORE: MUSIC COMPOSITION WITH TRACKDOWN, TOM HOLKENBORG AND GEORGE MILLER

The score for MGM’s Three Thousand Years of Longing was recorded at The Simon Leadley Scoring Stage at Trackdown Studios, with composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) joining in remotely using Audiomovers and Zoom.

The score was conducted by Christopher Gordon and performed by the Sydney Scoring Orchestra. Co-ordinated by Trackdown’s General Manager Elaine Beckett and recorded by Trackdown’s Lead Engineer and Technical Director Craig Beckett assisted by Rose Mackenzie-Peterson and Liam Moses.

“He had to evoke a magical feeling about the wonders and catastrophes of this world”

George Miller, Director of Three Thousand Years of Longing on working with composer Tom Holkenborg
