TAG has been named a finalist across multiple categories in this year’s Women in Travel Awards — an annual event that celebrates and recognises women’s achievements, leadership, and innovation in the Australian travel industry.

TAG’s nominations include Employer of the Year and has received two individual finalist honours within its Production Team: Prue Kennedy, Senior Account Manager, for Salesperson of the Year, and Chenade Keighery, Travel Specialist, for Rising Star.

At TAG, women make up 69% of its Australian workforce and 61% of its leadership team. Recognition at the Women in Travel Awards reflects TAG’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture where women are supported, celebrated, and empowered to thrive.

TAG spoke with Prue and Chenade from the Production Department about what the nominations mean to them.

Prue Kennedy — Senior Account Manager

Finalist: Salesperson of the Year

What does being recognised as a finalist in the Women in Travel Awards mean to you personally?
Being recognised as a finalist in the Women in Travel Awards is an incredible honour. It feels like a real moment of validation — not just for the work I’ve done, but for the passion and dedication I’ve poured into the travel industry throughout my career. It’s a proud milestone, and it motivates me to keep striving for meaningful growth and positive change in the industry.

What makes it even more special is being part of a community of inspiring women who are collectively working to make travel more inclusive, diverse, and empowering. There’s something powerful about sharing experiences, learning from one another, and feeling that sense of solidarity. This nomination is a reminder of the strength that comes from women supporting women.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working in the production travel space over the past year?
I’m proud that we’ve been able to expand our client base without ever compromising on quality. Balancing growth with consistently exceptional service has been a real achievement for our team and reflects our commitment to supporting productions seamlessly.

What’s one moment in your career that made you stop and think, “This is why I do what I do”?
There have been countless moments, but every time I see a production come to life on screen, I think, “This is why I do what I do.” Knowing that our work behind the scenes has helped bring those stories to life is incredibly rewarding.

Who has been the biggest influence or mentor in your career, and what have they taught you?
One of my biggest influences was a film client early in my career. She once called asking for accommodation in a location that was completely booked due to a major event. When I explained the situation, she simply said, “Make it happen,” and hung up. I still laugh about it, but that moment stayed with me. It pushed me to get creative, think outside the box, and never give up — no matter how challenging the request.

Chenade Keighery — Travel Specialist

Finalist: Rising Star

What does being recognised as a finalist in the Women in Travel Awards mean to you personally?
It means a great deal. Women before me have worked hard to pave the way, and I’m grateful to be part of a company that recognises and respects that effort. I always put in the work, and it often goes unseen, so being acknowledged like this feels incredibly meaningful. It’s empowering to be surrounded by colleagues who value and celebrate the contribution I make.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working in the production travel space over the past year?
How much I’ve learnt. I came into this as a rookie and quickly realised how much there was to take in. I’m proud of the growth I’ve achieved — learning something new every day and building confidence with each challenge.

What’s one moment in your career that made you stop and think, “This is why I do what I do”?
When clients express their gratitude. Supporting people — especially those who are new to production travel and trust me to guide them — is incredibly rewarding. Hearing their appreciation and knowing I’ve helped them achieve what they need always reminds me why I love this work.

Who has been the biggest influence or mentor in your career, and what have they taught you?
My colleagues. They’ve shown me kindness, patience, and what it means to truly take pride in your work. I’m grateful every day to be surrounded by people who not only strive for excellence but also support and care for each other.
