Sydney’s Trackdown Studios proved instrumental in bringing Dominic Lewis’ Peter Rabbit score to life, thanks to recordings by the Sydney Scoring Orchestra and Cantillation Choir at the facility’s Simon Leadley Scoring Stage, Australia’s premier purpose-built Orchestral Scoring Stage.

For over 30 years Trackdown has been a leader in the audio post and music industry. Starting out as a rehearsal studio in Sydney, Trackdown has grown to include Australia’s only purpose-built Scoring Stage, ADR and Foley Recording Studio, 7.1 Mix Room, Theatrette, 6 Pro Tools suites and 18 dry-hire edit suites. In conjunction with its sub-tenants, Trackdown provides a complete post production solution for film and television projects including offline, online, VFX, music supervision, sound and music post.

For Peter Rabbit, the Sydney Scoring Orchestra and Cantillation Choir recordings were co-ordinated by Trackdown general manager Elaine Beckett, supported by Evan McHugh as lead engineer for the project and in-house engineers Craig Beckett and Rose McKenzie-Peterson as Pro Tools operators. Score mixer and producer Al Clay mixed from Trackdown’s ‘The Studio’ and music editorial was completed by Trackdown’s Tim Ryan throughout the film’s post-production.

Elaine Beckett said, “It was a pleasure working with Animal Logic again, this time bringing Peter Rabbit to life on the big screen. Over 100 people were involved in delivering Dom Lewis’ score and the end result is as fun and mischievous as Peter himself! Our hardworking and passionate team enjoy the challenges that any project brings and look forward to providing the solution to your next project.”
