This significant development marks a new chapter for screen production in Australia, offering state-of-the-art facilities right in the heart of Western Australia. Supported by Screenwest’s competitive incentive program, PFS will provide local and international filmmakers with extensive facilities, an experienced management team, and convenient access to necessary resources to bring bold, diverse stories to life.
This purpose-built screen production facility builds on the incredible work already happening across Australia, and opens new doors for collaboration, creativity, and cultural exchange. PFS is excited to welcome productions from around the world to experience the unique landscapes, talent, and ‘film friendliness’ of WA. With direct flights from London and Asia, Perth Film Studios makes Western Australia more accessible than ever to international productions.
Perth Film Studios is not just a new studio, it’s a new era
Led by an international team of film industry and facilities management professionals, PFS has been designed to meet the diverse and flexible needs of international and domestic productions. With a strong focus on sustainability, functionality, and creative support, the studio is underpinned by a culture of exceptional service, where every detail is considered, and every team member is committed to delivering an experience defined by an understanding of the challenges of production – together with care, responsiveness, and Aussie hospitality.

- Two 20,000 sq ft and two 25,000 sq ft sound stages – purpose-built for major international and domestic productions
- 71,000 sq ft of dedicated workshop and lock-up space – ideal for set construction, props, and fabrication
- 28,500 sq ft of production office space, including private offices, meeting rooms, and collaborative workspaces
- Dedicated 5-position Hair & Make-Up suites adjacent to each sound stage
- Costume departments with ample space for fittings and storage
- 6MVA of power to site with 6 x 400a Powerlock boards in each ound stage
- 38-seat accessible screening room featuring Dolby Atmos and 4K digital projection, with global connectivity for reviews, previews, and client presentations
- 5.7-acre backlot with a clear horizon on 2 sides for exterior builds and a further 52,000 sq ft of flexible outdoor support space
- Access to Western Australia’s extraordinary natural and urban landscapes, including coastal, desert, forest, agricultural, and metropolitan environments
