In an industry driven by imagination, Myriad Studios places precision at the heart of creativity. Specializing in high-end digital capture, the Australian-based company delivers world-class scanning services for film, games, and immersive media worldwide. From blockbuster features and premium streaming series to innovative digital twin projects, Myriad Studios’ mission is clear: capture the real world with unparalleled accuracy so creative teams can take storytelling further.

Australian-Based, Globally Tested
With offices at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast and Disney Studios in Sydney, Myriad Studios is embedded in Australia’s growing screen ecosystem. The team collaborates closely with VFX studios, producers, supervisors, and technology partners to deliver cutting-edge results while maximizing the benefits of local production incentives.
Highly mobile and production-ready, Myriad’s scanning systems can be deployed on sound stages, backlots, remote locations, and even live environments. On The Bluff, the team worked with VFX Supervisor James McQuaide to overcome diverse challenges, whether mobilizing a scan truck to a remote island or scanning a cliff – with their drone-LiDAR – in the Cayman Islands during a hurricane, capturing 160 cast and extras, and scanning a variety of weapons for the film.

Comprehensive Scanning Capabilities
Myriad Studios operates some of the world’s most advanced scanning technologies, much of which is developed in-house. Their integrated approach includes:
- High-resolution cyber scanning rigs for full body, head, and FACS capture, including Australia’s only mobile cyber scanning truck
- LiDAR systems for environments, sets, and large-scale assets
- Drone-mounted LiDAR and camera systems for expansive environments
- Highly mobile teams and equipment designed for fast, production-friendly workflows
- Custom data processing pipelines delivering clean, usable assets for VFX teams worldwide
For Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Myriad provided a flexible scan package that allowed multiple crews to work simultaneously on larger sets without additional cost, supporting the production’s dynamic schedule while leveraging end-to-end capabilities from their Gold Coast base.
Built for Production
The strength of Myriad Studios extends beyond technology. Its specialist team of capture technicians, artists, and filmmakers understands the pace and pressures of production. Credits include Eden, All Her Fault, and Send Help. Workflows are designed to minimize disruption on set while delivering assets that meet downstream technical requirements.
For The Fall Guy, VFX Supervisor Matt Sloan enlisted Myriad to scan large sections of Sydney, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, ensuring post-production flexibility.

Punching Above Their Weight
Known for their adaptive and innovative approach, Myriad Studios excels at capturing accurate digital twins efficiently. Despite being a local team, their global experience spans projects from Cayman Islands cliff faces (The Bluff) to Sydney’s landmarks (The Fall Guy). Their compact, mobile teams minimize travel and freight costs while maximizing data capture, regardless of terrain or weather.

Proudly Australian
As a 100% Australian-owned and operated company, Myriad Studios processes all data in-house, providing high-quality, secure deliverables for local and international VFX vendors. Productions benefit from local expenditure with rebates while accessing world-class scanning expertise, reducing reliance on overseas crews, travel, and freight.

From VR director pre-visualization to on-set scanning and post-production model cleanup, Myriad supports productions in creating richer worlds, more believable characters, and more efficient pipelines – starting with reliable, high-quality capture.
Always within reach – Myriad Studios does scanning.
