FOURTH FILM IN LEGENDARY’S MONSTERVERSE RELEASING IN MARCH, FILMED IN QUEENSLAND

Legends collide in Godzilla vs. Kong as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. 

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes the long-awaited face-off between two icons, Godzilla and King Kong, the next epic adventure in Legendary’s cinematic Monsterverse, directed by Adam Wingard.

The production filmed at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast and locations around Queensland as well as filming in Hawaii and other locations in the United States. The film was supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland and the City of Gold Coast. Ausfilm members who worked on this film include: Contrarian Group, Cutting Edge, Fox Lighting, Luma Pictures, Showfilm and Village Roadshow Studios.

The sci-fi/action sequel to Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island features a star-studded cast including Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler and Demián Bichir.

Audiences will see Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond.  But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. 

The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.
