Claudia Pickering’s directorial debut feature Frisky, which Pickering also wrote, produced and starred in, was shot for AUD$5,000 and has turned into ‘the little film that could’ since its US release in March. Pickering’s talent really hit the spotlight when her sales agent secured a deal with revered Gravitas Ventures.

Following a highly successful Australian In Film screening at Charlie’s in LA, things exploded for this first time Director who has teamed up with Jungle to develop a TV series of the same concept. With the heads of Australia’s largest funding bodies on the phone, offers for US representation and conversations with a multi-national distributor and media coverage with the likes of Huffington Post, Vogue, Sydney Morning Herald, Inside Film and Empire – it’s an independent filmmaker’s dream come true.

Pickering will be back in the States mid-year for meetings and to build upon the success of her groundbreaking comedy.
