Psychological thriller The Dispatcher is currently filming across Melbourne and regional Victoria, showcasing the State’s world-class production capabilities and diverse and cinematic locations, whilst taking advantage of Victoria’s globally competitive incentives.

Produced by 60Forty Films and supported by VicScreen, The Dispatcher stars Patrick Brammall (Colin from Accounts), Maxine Peake (Say Nothing, Black Mirror) and Brendan Cowell (Dune: ProphecyPlum) in a revenge-driven drama about an emergency call handler whose life is thrown into turmoil when he receives a call from a young woman claiming to be his missing daughter who disappeared without trace ten years earlier.

Currently shooting across regional Victoria, including the coastal town of Warrnambool, the Mornington Peninsula, and the Yarra Valley, The Dispatcher is the latest series to spotlight the state’s many varied and breathtaking locations.

Executive Producer, Hakan Kousetta said, “The State of Victoria afforded us an abundance of opportunities for making a series of this scale possible. Fantastic facilities, competitive incentives, incredible locations and first-class crew made filming here a really easy choice. We’re genuinely excited to be making this compelling Australian-set show for international audiences to enjoy and have it serve as a showcase for what is possible to achieve in Victoria.”

With The Dispatcher, and a wave of other high-profile productions having just wrapped production in the State including the latest Liam Neeson action movie, The Mongoose, Victoria’s screen industry is proving it can play in the big leagues and accommodate projects of any scale down under.

With premium facilities like Docklands Studios Melbourne, highly skilled crews, a generous rebate system, and a proven track record of international success, why not make Victoria the next choice destination for your production?
