Ausfilm recently asked Alli Pratt, Director of Production at TAG, to reflect on another eventful year delivering high-touch, bespoke travel services to the world’s leading entertainment productions. Here’s the rundown:

A year that flew by

It’s hard to believe that 2025 has already come and gone, the year seemed to fly by faster than ever. For TAG’s production team, it was a particularly big one, working across a diverse variety of projects ranging from reality television and Australian dramas to international series and blockbuster feature films.

TAG is vetted by all major studios and streamers, enabling the team to support productions for Amazon, Legendary, Disney, Sony, and Netflix. The year kicked off with the release of Black Snow, an Australian crime drama series. The show’s international release later in 2025 also gave TAG’s global offices the chance to enjoy its striking cinematography and, of course, Travis Fimmel.

Big releases and shared celebrations

We closed out the year with the release of Anaconda, an action-adventure comedy horror that delivered laughs from start to finish. To mark the occasion, we ran internal competitions across our global offices throughout December, giving team members the chance to win movie tickets and celebrate the release together.

Navigating challenges together

Like any big year, 2025 came with its challenges. The unexpected arrival of Cyclone Alfred on the Gold Coast led to studio closures and several days of lockdown for cast and crew. We’re incredibly grateful to our hotel partners, many of whom waived cancellation fees and remained flexible during an uncertain and stressful period. Their support was invaluable in helping productions navigate delays until the cyclone passed.

While some hotel lockdowns reportedly became memorable bonding experiences – with shared meals and impromptu social gatherings – my own experience was far quieter. I spent the time at home with restless animals, including my dog Buddy, who was clearly dreaming of a long-overdue game of fetch.

Industry recognition

In April, we were proud to be named Services and Facilities Business of the Year for How to Make Gravy at the Screen Forever Awards, hosted by Screen Producers Australia (SPA). The award was accepted by our Chief Revenue Officer, Shane Barr, and it was a proud moment for the entire team to see our work recognised by industry peers.

Expanding services and capability

2025 also marked significant growth across the region. We opened two new APAC offices, including a larger Melbourne space on Collins Street, bringing our team together under one roof as more agents returned to the office. In December, we celebrated the opening of our new Wellington office – a major milestone in our New Zealand growth – with a launch event attended by the Honourable Mayor Andrew Little.

Looking ahead, we continued to strengthen our presence in Western Australia in anticipation of the new Perth studios opening in 2026. We welcomed Todd Wale and Rescelle Sabatin to the team, extending our service hours by an additional three hours — an enhancement that has been warmly received by our clients.

Our production team also grew from 15 to 18 members during 2025, including the addition of Account Manager Rachel Salvitti, who supports clients with specialised reporting and bespoke requirements.

Looking ahead to 2026

As 2026 gets underway, we’re excited to see many of the productions we supported reach screens worldwide, including horror feature Send Help, swashbuckling action thriller The Bluff, Apple TV’s monster series Monarch: Legacy of the Monsters, and local projects such as Postcard Bandit, comedy series Dog Park, and Ghosts.

Seeing these projects come to life on screen continues to inspire our team and sets the tone for what promises to be another exceptional year ahead.
