15 January 2026 – Ausfilm is delighted to join the Australian Government’s new Trade Diversification Network (TDN), which will further enhance opportunities for Australian screen businesses working with international partners.

Ausfilm is one of 40 national peak industry bodies selected by Austrade to join the TDN, demonstrating the importance of the screen sector to our economy and nation, and the key role international partnerships and projects play for the screen industry.

The TDN is a new initiative of the Australian Government and membership of the TDN was announced Tuesday (13/1) by the Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon Don Farrell.

“The Trade Diversification Network will help Ausfilm to further support Australian businesses by strengthening opportunities and relationships in a wider range of markets,” said Ausfilm CEO Kate Marks.

“Ausfilm has expanded our international footprint in recent years, including leading the first official delegation to Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market in 2025, and we look forward to working with Austrade and the Australian Government to leverage further opportunities for growth.”

“International production is a key part of the Australian sector: it creates jobs for cast and crew, funds training, enables investments and builds our capabilities. International productions and stronger global partnerships strengthen the resilience, sustainability, and competitiveness of our sector.”
