AUSFILM APPOINTS KATIE KOEBLITZ AS VP OF INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTION IN LOS ANGELES

Ausfilm, Australia’s screen industry association responsible for attracting international film and television productions to Australia, has appointed Katie Koeblitz to the role of Vice President of International Production, based in Ausfilm’s Los Angeles office.

In this role, Katie will work with US and Australian screen production clients and Ausfilm members to attract film, television, and picture post, sound, music, VFX and animation to Australia. Katie’s role includes marketing Australia’s production tax incentives, providing advice to international filmmakers looking to work in Australia, and coordinating with Australian state government screen agencies on location pitches for international clients.

Katie has over ten years’ experience in the screen industry working as an independent director and producer. Her production credits include both narrative and documentary feature films such as the G-Funk documentary and Galveston, starring Elle Fanning, which premiered at South by Southwest. Katie’s directing credits include branded content and campaign assets for brands such as Goop and Milani Cosmetics featuring Salt-N-Pepa.

“We are thrilled that Katie will be joining Ausfilm’s team in LA. She is incredibly passionate about the industry with a wide range of experience across both physical production and post. Her unique skillset will be a great asset to clients and members in attracting future projects to Australia.”

Erin Stam, Ausfilm’s Executive Vice President of International Production

“I’m delighted to be joining the impressive team at Ausfilm. I look forward to building lasting relationships with the members and liaising with clients worldwide to support the ongoing effort to bring projects to Australia.

My career as an independent producer and director has been largely supported by tax incentives, so I’m keenly aware of the myriad benefits a robust incentive framework brings to the screen sector at large.

I look forward to contributing to and growing with the Ausfilm team here in Los Angeles and down under.”
