MAXIMISE YOUR AUSFILM BENEFITS WITH OUR GLOBAL ENEWSLETTER

Ausfilm members have the opportunity promote their skills and projects via our monthly e-Newsletter.

The purpose of the newsletter is to build international awareness of the depth of talent and services offered by Ausfilm’s membership, as well as promoting Australia’s benefits as a screen production location.

Every member organisation is invited to submit story ideas and content each month.

Audience

Ausfilm’s database includes: studio and streamer executives, production companies, producers, VFX producers and supervisors, post-production and VFX executives, Ausfilm members, crew, writers, directors, local and global industry associations, plus government representatives and stakeholders.

Our readers are based globally, with top clicks occurring within the USA, UK and Australia.

Newsletters are distributed about one to two weeks after the submission deadline. Dates may be subject to change.

Submission requirements/formatting

  • Note: Please let us know if you are submitting an AI generated article, as it may affect the Ausfilm website’s SEO. If you need assistance compiling a story, the Ausfilm team is more than happy to help.
  • Member articles should be focused on member’s Australian services, work, team etc. (not third party companies, non-members or work completed overseas)
  • There is no word limit for submissions but we recommend brevity for greater engagement and imagery/video to illustrate the article
  • Submit articles in a Word doc, Google doc, or email with images attached separately
  • At least one image must be provided per article in JPEG format, with image credits provided
  • The submitting member is responsible for obtaining clearance from the production company/studio/image library for Ausfilm’s global digital distribution of all content and imagery (license infringements will be the responsibility of the submitting member)
  • Articles should be written in the third person
  • Members can submit one article per newsletter
  • Please ensure facts, name spelling, and all contact information is accurate
  • You may include a call-to-action at the article outro (e.g. Contact … to discuss a project)

Content ideas

Members’ submissions must be relevant to their Australian business or work within the screen industry. Think about what would be most interesting/relevant for clients.


Suggested content themes include:
  • Production announcements, including funding and guideline updates
  • Video content such as trailers, showreels, VFX breakdowns and interviews
  • Case studies relevant to your business
  • Interviews with talent from your company or clients who have worked with you
  • Collaborative stories with other Ausfilm member companies
  • Awards recognition
  • Educational articles about new technology your company is using or has developed

Submission tips

  • Remember that the majority of Ausfilm’s newsletter audience is international (primarily US-based), therefore submissions should have international appeal
  • Your header image will be cropped to a 2:1 ratio
  • All content submitted to Ausfilm is considered final. Ausfilm reserves the right to edit the content for clarity, style, brevity and newsletter consistency
  • Please ensure all images and footage submitted to Ausfilm are cleared for use and include proper credits (we can’t post unapproved/unlicensed material)
  • Note: Ausfilm will craft a brief summary of your article to appear in the email newsletter with a READ MORE link directing readers to the complete story on the Ausfilm website
  • If you would like specific wording for the above, please provide your preferred copy

Individual Member e-blasts

As part of Ausfilm’s membership benefits, each member can send one individual e-blast to a targeted distribution list per year. Please give Ausfilm as much notice as possible so we can work on a suitable slot in the yearly distribution schedule for your message. Contact the Ausfilm Marketing Team to discuss content and timing.

Shared Social Media Posts

Have you celebrated a milestone, announced a new project, been nominated for an award, had an international client in your office this week? If you posted about it on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) let us know. Tag Ausfilm if posting relevant content, and we can share on our channels.
