Ausfilm and the Australian Consulate-General in Los Angeles hosted a networking event ahead of the Visual Effects Society Awards, celebrating Australia’s world-class VFX community.

The event brought together Australian VFX studios, international partners and industry leaders to recognise the outstanding contribution of Australian artists to global screen production.

From Sinners and Stranger Things to Wicked and How to Train Your Dragon, Australian talent continues to deliver world-class work across some of the industry’s most acclaimed projects. These productions highlight Australia’s reputation for technical excellence, innovation and a collaborative approach to filmmaking.

The event was co-hosted by Tanya Bennett, Australian Consul-general in LA, with the Hon. Don Farrell, Minister for Trade & Tourism in attendance, reflecting the Australian Government’s ongoing support of the screen sector and its role as a global creative powerhouse.
