Sustainability Top Tips from GreenShoot Pacific

Introducing the experts in Sustainable Production Management, GreenShoot Pacific supplies the industry with best-practice tips, guidance and news on how to run an environmentally sustainable event.

The Carbon Tax has been introduced this month in Australia, and the event industry may start to feel the effect - through the cost of mains power and potentially an increased ‘cost to throw’ in some regions. We may see more venues charge electricity consumption as an outgoing. Now’s the time to take action to reduce your ‘carbon tax exposure’ by conserving energy and reducing waste volumes.

Top Tips
Energy Conservation

  • Use equipment which is ‘energy efficient’ or has a reduced electricity demand.
  • Ask sound and lighting hire to provide LED lighting and energy efficient sound equipment.
  • Exhibitions should have low energy lighting (eg halogen or LED) as standard provision to shell schemes and have exhibitors ‘opt in’ to high energy lighting (eg flood lights) at a premium cost.

For more tips and information on how to reduce the environmental impact of your next event, call GreenShoot pacific on +61 403 867 548 or visit their website www.greenshootpacific.com
