Australia is currently experiencing record levels of international screen production activity across Australia and as Ausfilm’s VP, International Production this is your chance to be a first point of contact for international productions looking at Australia for production and post and to work with a wide range of Ausfilm Member companies, who are top production service companies across Australia.

What you’ll gain:

An opportunity to represent the Australian screen service sector and positively influence the attraction of film and television productions to Australia. Actively working with both US clients and Australian screen businesses you’ll be part of a dynamic team to position Australia as a leading destination of choice for international film and television content creators.

What you’ll bring:

As the VP, International Production, you will build and maintain positive business relationships with Ausfilm’s clients in the US and members in Australia, facilitating strategic connections between the two to support the growth of Australia’s member businesses and the Australian screen industry.

You’ll be passionate about the industry; an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, work collaboratively but also be able to identify new business opportunities on your own. You’ll have knowledge and contacts in the North American industry and an understanding of the Australian screen industry.

Experience

  • +5 years of relevant experience in either a similar or related industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and contacts in North American screen industry. Across film, television and post, digital and visual effects;
  • Understanding of the Australian film and television industry across development, production, post-production, and knowledge of present and future film, television and digital trends
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior organisational skills including project management
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts and ideas
  • Knowledge of Australia and its diverse production locations
