Rhys Graham is an award-winning writer and director whose work spans fiction and documentary.
His debut feature film Galore premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, following a Panorama Special Mention for his earlier short film. His documentaries have received numerous accolades, including the Grand Prix at Seminci and FIFO Tahiti, along with six AFI/AACTA nominations and a United Nations Peace Award.
Rhys was the writer and director of Netflix’s The Unlisted, which won the 2020 Youth Jury Prize at Prix de Jeunesse. He was also a writer on the Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning series Nowhere Boys, as well as its spin-off feature, The Book of Shadows.
He is currently in postproduction on the feature documentary Dance of Language and in financing on Paradise, a feature film with Aquarius Films. His recent film Rewards for the Tribe premiered at the Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide Film Festivals.
Rhys other work in development includes writing the adaptation of The Girl with Glass Feet with Clouds and Spheres, the crime series The Outer Dark with Rhapsody Pictures, the series Golden with Film Camp, and the feature adaptation of by Christos Tsiolkas (The Slap), supported by Screen Australia.
