Nadine Bates has spent the last eleven years blazing a trail through the children’s media landscape. Globally known as a dynamic, entrepreneurial Producer, Nadine co-founded and led the award winning production company Like a Photon Creative from 2015 – 2026. Nadine has created and produced ten animated theatrical feature films in that time, raising and managing just under $100M in production. These films include the first ever 6 part slate deal, the Tales from Sanctuary City franchise for Universal Content Group (The Wishmas Tree, Combat Wombat 1 & 2, Daisy Quokka, The Sloth Lane and The Lost Tiger) and independent literary adaptations such as Scarygirl, The Pout Pout Fish (Macmillan) and Neverending Pillowfort (Crayola). Her tenth film, an original property created by Nadine and LAPC, is currently in production. From her earliest career days, becoming the first Australian female writer/producer for Sesame Street USA, she’s worked with the biggest names and brands in the children’s media industry. She’s collaborated with Apple’s World Wide Developers Consultancy Group in Silicon Valley, jurored the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Awards over several years and acts as an Advisor for the QUT Executive MBA student cohorts.
